Miller. 1950.<br />Hisey and Pyle were close friends. Pyle even visited Fred in prison.<br /><br />The passage, on page 56, reads, "He (Pyle) went down to Lorton Penitentiary in Virginia, for example, to write sadly about his old friend Fred Hisey, a life termer. Hisey, an elaborately tattooed Regular Army veteran, used to be a compositor on the Washington News. He was quite a fellow and a steady worker, with a passion for his flower garden.
